Deleting a video removes it from your library permanently. Deleted videos cannot be recovered. Credits spent on a deleted video are not refunded, because the model did its work.
Single delete
Open the video from your library and click Delete in the player. Videna shows a confirmation dialog because the action is permanent. Confirm and the video is removed from your library immediately. Any hosted viewer link for the video returns a 404 right away.
Bulk delete
To clear multiple videos at once, click the checkmark on each card in the library grid, then click Delete selected at the top of the page. Bulk delete supports up to 100 videos per action. For larger cleanups, repeat the action.
What deletion does and does not do
Deletion removes the video file, the thumbnail, and the cached preview. It does not delete the prompt or the settings. The prompt of a deleted video is no longer searchable from your library because the row itself is gone. If you want to keep the prompt for future use, copy it from the player before you delete.
Deleting trial videos
Videos generated with welcome credits behave the same as paid videos for deletion. Deleting them does not return the trial credits because the credits were spent at generation time. The 10 welcome credits are a one off allotment and are not topped up after deletion or after refund.
When to delete
We recommend deleting videos that are clearly tests, that you would never run as an ad, and that you have already pulled the prompt from. Keep videos that you might revisit for inspiration even if you did not pick them this time. Library is large and there is no quota, so the cost of keeping is essentially zero. The cost of deleting a video you later wish you had is permanent.
Account deletion
If you uninstall Videna from your Shopify admin, your library is paused for 30 days, then deleted automatically. If you reinstall within 30 days, your full library is restored. If 30 days pass, library deletion happens in batches over 60 days for technical reasons, but you cannot trigger early restoration after that point.
Recovery
There is no Trash, no Recycle Bin, and no Undo for deleted videos. The only recovery is the 30 day reinstall window described above. If you accidentally deleted something important, contact us through the support page within a few hours and we may be able to recover it from short term backups, but we cannot promise.
